The Waveshare ESP32-H2 RISC-V Microcontroller w/ Pinheader for BLE/Zigbee/Thread is a development board designed for various applications including smart home, industrial automation, healthcare, and consumer electronics. This entry-level RISC-V microcontroller board is compact yet powerful, featuring a multitude of peripheral interfaces. It is built around the ESP32-H2-MINI-1-N4 module, which houses a 32-bit single-core processor with a main frequency of up to 96 MHz and comes with 4MB of built-in Flash memory.

The board boasts integrated Bluetooth 5 and IEEE 802.15.4 wireless communication protocols, including Zigbee 3.0 and Thread, ensuring superior RF performance for robust and reliable wireless connectivity. The inclusion of a Type-C connector facilitates ease of use, and the onboard CH343 and CH334 USB HUB chips enable simultaneous USB and UART development through the Type-C port. Its compatibility with the pinout of the ESP32-H2-DevKitM-1 development board enhances its versatility, allowing for the expansion of a variety of peripheral modules.

The microcontroller supports a wide range of peripheral interfaces, including SPI, UART, I2C, I2S, LED PWM, and ADC, among others. Its castellated module design also allows for direct soldering to carrier boards, further extending its applicability.
