The Thames & Kosmos KAI: The Artificial Intelligence Robot offers an exciting opportunity to delve into the future of advanced computing technology. This intelligent, six-legged robot is app-enabled and utilizes machine learning to respond to gestures and sounds. Machine learning, a crucial aspect of artificial intelligence, allows computers to recognize patterns, learn, and make predictions based on data.
The robot can be programmed to recognize physical gestures and sounds, which are then assigned to five functions: walking forward and backward, turning left and right, and stopping. Artificial intelligence learns to recognize each gesture or sound, even those with minor differences. The more data collected, the more effectively the AI learns.
The collected data is used to create an AI model in the training screen of the app. This model recognizes patterns in the data, and the learning curve displays the accuracy of the AI model's learning. It can be adjusted to analyze the data a certain number of times and to determine the speed of the training for optimal results. The AI model can then be tested in play mode by controlling the robot remotely. The robot will perform the assigned function when the same gestures or sounds used during data collection are performed.
Mechanically, the robot is capable of walking on six legs and rotating its upper body 360 degrees, allowing it to turn in any direction instantly. Its face display, composed of 25 red LEDs, can be programmed via the app to display different expressions and scrolling messages.
The robot comes with a full-color, 64-page manual that provides step-by-step illustrated assembly and programming instructions. The manual also includes lessons in AI and robotics, as well as a comic-book-style story that brings the robot to life. It also provides information about the history and future of AI and its real-world applications.

If you are not satisfied for whatever reason with a Product you bought on the Site, it is possible to return it for refund within 30 days from the date you received it unless otherwise indicated in the Product listing. You must first advise the Vendor associated with your order in your account to obtain a return authorization (‘’RA’’) number before returning a Product. (‘’RA’’) numbers are valid for 30 days, within which time the returned Products should be received by the Vendor. No returns will be accepted without having previously obtained an (‘’RA’’) number. The Product must then be returned in its original packaging (in perfect condition for resale) with its receipt and your (‘’RA’’) number. Reimbursement will be denied for any Products which do not conform to the above mentioned conditions.
Build-it-yourself Robot Parts are not refundable once assembled. Robots & Kits requiring assembly or soldering are also not refundable once assembled, soldered or modified in any way. All sales of robotic software and apps are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged. Returns are not accepted on special orders and clearance items except when they are found defective, in which case the Product may be repaired or replaced at the Vendor’s discretion. 20% Restocking fees may apply if you are returning a large quantity of the same Product that was ordered specifically for you from the manufacturer.
Please note that all items will be reimbursed within 7 to 14 days of receiving the Product (shipping fees excluded). You must also cover the cost of returning the Product. Shipping fees will only be refunded if the return is a result of a shipping error on our part. Cleaning fees of USD 100 may also be charged if a domestic robot is returned and has not been properly cleaned.
