The Pololu 7.5V, 2.4A Step-Down Voltage Regulator D24V22F7 efficiently converts higher input voltages up to 36V to a stable 7.5V output. This synchronous switching regulator offers efficiencies ranging from 85% to 95%, making it significantly more efficient than linear regulators, particularly when there is a large difference between input and output voltages.

The regulator supports continuous output currents up to 2.4A, with performance dependent on input voltage and efficiency. It features integrated reverse-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and a soft-start function to manage inrush current.
