Basic Electricity for Absolute Beginners - A Practical Approach to the World of Electric Circuits. Learn Basic Electricity with hands-on experiments.

Traditionally, the journey into electronics learning often begins with building circuits on a breadboard. However, through extensive engagement with schools and discussions with educators, we've discovered a significant number of individuals eager to delve into electronics without prior knowledge of basic concepts like breadboards. Some enthusiasts may possess a strong foundation in science or math but seek a deeper understanding of basic electronics and basic electricity.

In response to this need, our program provides a comprehensive solution: a versatile basic electricity learning kit comprising a detailed book paired with essential tools, catering to diverse learners. We cover a wide range of practical knowledge, starting from the distinction between electrical and electronic systems to practical skills such as utilizing different tools and comprehending fundamental concepts like AC and DC power. Moreover, we address practical concerns like understanding electricity bills and providing a holistic understanding of how electronics influence everyday life.

Our goal and mission is to simplify electronics and electrical engineering, making it accessible to anyone with a curiosity to explore this fascinating scientific domain.

Learning Theory

We continue to use our traditional delivery method: a physical book, and this is the core value of this campaign and even for ourselves. The designed and developed books will be 100+ pages and cover the fundamental but practical electricity knowledge, it's more like a wiki but just targeting on electrical and electronics. The experimental part also uses great illustrations to walk you through each task. 

At this stage, we have finished 90% of the book design and will be sent out for production during the campaign. 

Hands-on Experiment

For the experiment part, we've made a deliberate choice to not use breadboards and jumper wires. Instead, we're planning for simple components paired with alligator-to-alligator clips. The transition represents a significant step towards mastering electronics, as alligator clips are commonly utilized in more advanced circuitry. Also, we want to deepen learners' understanding of how electrons and currents flow between devices and components. For instance, in one of our chapters, we delve into the concept of resistance in a wire, exploring how it varies depending on factors such as material and length.

Also, we've enhanced our hand-crank generator, drawing inspiration from one of the projects in our PBL kit introduced in our previous campaign. This upgraded hand-crank electricity generator serves as a pivotal tool for conveying the fundamental concept of electricity generation. Through hands-on experimentation, learners can explore the process of generating electricity and observe how its performance varies when connected to different loads.

We've also integrated traditional analog ammeters and voltmeters into our kit. These analog instruments allow learners to physically sense how current and voltage change, providing a tangible understanding that can be lost when relying solely on digital multimeters, which often present information as numerical values without the same sensory feedback.

By integrating theory with hands-on practical work has always been our goal and company value. We truly believe that this approach ensures that learners not only grasp theoretical concepts but also develop the skills needed to apply them in real-world scenarios. By combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experimentation, students gain a deeper understanding of STEM subjects and cultivate critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
