The Digilent Ettus USRP B205mini-i w/ Enclosure Bundle is a versatile and compact software-defined radio platform, suitable for both hobbyist and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) applications. Designed by Ettus Research™, this device offers a broad frequency range from 70 MHz to 6 GHz, facilitated by an industrial-grade Xilinx Spartan-6 XC6SLX150 FPGA. The RF front end is equipped with an Analog Devices AD9364 RFIC transceiver, providing 56 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth. The board is powered via a high-speed USB 3.0 connection, enabling efficient data streaming to a host computer.
This platform supports a variety of applications, including FM and TV broadcasting, cellular networks, GPS, WiFi, and ISM bands. Users can engage in prototyping with GNU Radio and contribute to the open-source software-defined radio (SDR) community. The USRP B205mini-i is fully supported by the USRP Hardware Driver™ (UHD) software, ensuring seamless code reuse from existing designs and compatibility with open-source applications such as HDSDR and OpenBTS. This support also provides an upgrade path to industry-ready USRP systems, catering to diverse application requirements.
The bundle includes an enclosure kit, which extends the operating temperature range of the device, enhancing its durability and adaptability in various environments. The device also features connectors for GPIO, JTAG, and synchronization with a 10 MHz clock reference or a PPS time reference input signal, further expanding its functionality and integration capabilities.
