The tinyLiDAR ToF Range Finder Sensor abstracts out the complex low level VL53L0X control tasks so you can get your results using only simple I2C commands from any micro.  Its high performance is in the on-board 32bit ultra-low power microcontroller.

Cable
The connector on the backside is known as a “Grove” 4pin universal connector. Using a Grove cable makes experimenting with tinyLiDAR quicker, easier and neater.

Superb product!

The tinyLiDAR works perfectly and is easy to use without any special library. From the tests I ran, this device works to a range of about 185 cm, which is a bit short of the advertised range of 200 cm. However, the range is influenced by the properties of the reflective surface, but I think less so than I can expect for an ordinary IR devices. The tinyLiDAR gives very fast and accurate readings and I will mount two of them on my robot vehicle.
